Telecaster style combined bridge/tailpiece with three flat bottomed brass saddles. Tele style chrome knobs with pronounced domes and heavily knurled sides. Three controls (two volume, one tone) plus three-way pickup selector switch all on pickguard. Three-layer white over black plastic pickguard with seven screws. One Lentz custom hand-wound L-90 (P-90) style pickup (with black plastic cover) at the neck position with an output of 7.32k, and one Lentz custom-hand wound Alnico ll B'Kaster pickup with staggered pole-pieces (angled in bridge-plate) with an output of 10.35k. Individual single-line "no-name" Gotoh Deluxe tuners with oval metal buttons. Roger also plays keyboards and guitar along the whole cd, to back a bunch of high quality bright British musicians like Buddy Whittington, Papa George. Headstock with black "Lentz" decal and single "round" string tree. Maple fretboard with bone nut and 21 medium (6105) frets, black dot position markers and small black dot side markers. One piece lightly grained rock-maple neck with a nut width of just under 1 11/16 inches, a scale length of 25 1/2 inches and a wonderful medium-to-thick soft V profile (which is somewhat akin to a 1956 Telecaster). Single-bound, one-piece aged alder body with special Dakota Red nitrocellulose finish. This very special 'Buddy Whittington' model is the ideal weight at just 7.40 lbs. Neck profile is 0.84 inches at 1st fret, 1 inch at 12th fret.įrom the original listing by Fretted Americana: Nut width is 1.67 inches at 1st fret, 2.03 inches at 12th fret.
